The plums are small and slightly tart, and the sign at the market recommended them to be served chilled with a bit of salt for sprinkling.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"very green salad\" src=\"https:\/\/54leacock.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/DSC_0026-e1307995386211.jpg\" alt=\"very green salad\" width=\"500\"><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>avocado &#8211; 1<br \/>\nbasil &#8211; handful<br \/>\nTurkish green plums &#8211; handful<br \/>\ngreen olives (Lucques, Castelvetrano, those giant ones with pimentos)<br \/>\nolive oil<br \/>\nsalt &#038; pepper<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Cut up the avocado and green plums. Toss with a fresh, peppery olive oil. Add basil and olives. Season to taste.
